JUST KIDDING
May 23 - June 19, 2026

JK Art & Design Projects is pleased to announce the opening of its inaugural exhibition entitled Just Kidding, on view from May 21st to June 19th in Southampton, NY. The exhibition will reflect the gallery’s mission to spotlight distinctive voices in contemporary design who push the limits of creative expression through innovative perspectives and material exploration. As a nod to the playfulness and sense of wonder inherent in design, the exhibition’s title draws on the verb “to kid,” the works presented demonstrate how design continues to surprise and delight, inviting viewers to reengage with a childlike sense of novelty and imagination.

The debut of the partnership of Jeff Lincoln and Katherine Vogel marking the reinvention of the former Jeff Lincoln Art + Design. “I founded the gallery ten years ago to explore the intersection of art and collectible design — two worlds that, at the time, existed in largely separate silos. My vision was to embody the ethos of my interior design practice and offer the public a rare glimpse into the sensibility of private interiors,” states Jeff Lincoln. “Over the past decade, the dialogue between these disciplines has grown considerably. To mark this anniversary, I am reinventing the gallery's program through a new partnership with Katherine Vogel —who brings deep fluency across both blue-chip art and collectible design as former Director of Friedman Benda and Gallery Valentine. Together we will champion a platform that offers a forward-looking and fresh perspective within this landscape.”

Set in a historic building constructed in 1900 as Southampton’s first power station, the exhibition is an homage to the East End’s enduring legacy of inspiring groundbreaking art, design and architecture that has shaped the current art and design discourse. Dedicated to be a platform for creative exchange by highlighting experimentation, craftsmanship, and evolution in the field, JK Art & Design Project seeks to mirror and evoke the energy of an artist’s creative process within the gallery framework itself.

Theworks on view highlight design’s ability to transform the ordinary and challenge the boundaries between the familiar and the unexpected, integrating art into daily life and infusing the everyday with moments of inspiration. The exhibition features works by artists and designers including:
