Opening May 2026, JK (Just Kidding!) weaves together past and present seminal voices in art and design with the mission of highlighting multidisciplinary practices that resist categorization. The gallery serves as a platform — and a cultural hub and a springboard for creative exchange.— for experimentation, craftsmanship, and evolution in the field.
Founded by Kate Vogel and Jeff Lincoln, JK will debut at 200 North Sea Road in a historic 1900 building that was originally constructed as Southampton’s first power station. The gallery encompasses a 5,500-square-foot interior and a one-acre outdoor grounds designed for programming, installations, and large-scale activations.
Through exhibitions, workshops, installations, and community-driven programming, this project aims to shed light on the East End’s enduring legacy in shaping contemporary art and design discourse. Committed to a fresh and interactive approach, JK seeks to mirror and evoke the energy of an artist’s creative process within the gallery framework itself.
